((Base)) Tom Ford- Illuminating Primer

001

I am lucky to have come across this traveling size of Tom Ford’s Illuminating Primer (hurray). Though mini size of 5ml, the packaging is sleek and chic. The quality is not shy of a full size bottle.

The cap is rimmed with golden just like a full bottle. Even as a sample size, it came with a convenient pump. Less than one full pump can be used for the entire face.

Look at its dewy and shimmering texture; it glows like a diamond. The glitter is so fine that it blends into your complexion- like your own natural radiance.

Here’s the naked face. No makeup, just plain and simple moisturizer (w/o any correcting or refining effect).

What do you guys think? Just from first look, my skin appears to be more plump and fuller. After primer, I used my trusted Suqqu foundation to complete my base routine.

Press on a light veil of Cle De Peau Compact to set the makeup, ta-da, I am done!

Overall, I feel the Illuminating Primer is just the right base prep for a dry A/W season. If your skin is on the drier side, this is the right prep for you. I am combination-dry, after about 3 hours I do have to blot away the excess oil from my T zone.

In my opinion, I think it’s a great primer for dull skin because it adds the right amount of radiance without looking like a “lightbulb” or “greasy”. However, I am not sure if combo/oily skin would like the “glowing” finish as we do have to blot/touch up quite a bit to avoid looking “oily”.

Just a thought. Happy reading, ladies & gents ❤
